Multiple Safety Violations Found in New Jersey Medical Clinic Causing Dozens of Patients to be Infected

The Osteo Relief Institute in Wall, New Jersey, a medical clinic providing elderly patients and others with knee and other injections to assist with chronic pain, has recently shut its doors for approximately two weeks after being cited with multiple health and safety related violations by the New Jersey Health Department. According to NJ.com, these violations include “employees not washing their hands thoroughly and letting full needles sit ‘well before’ they were used on patients.” Local press reports put the number of patients who were recently infected at between 30 and 37, see herehere, here, here, and here.
